Talents Cultivation

Offshore wind power is an important development area in the green energy industry. To cultivate local wind power talents and localize wind power technology, our partner-TIWTC delivers high-standard of offshore wind training courses to create an injury-free working environment.

In addition, we sponsored students and fishermen to know more offshore industry in Taiwan, by holding Pilot Project in TIWTC. To assist the cadets in obtaining STCW-compliant licenses, we also partnered with Swire Pacific Offshore (SPO) to hold crew ratings training course.

We know that renewable energy is the key to the sustainable development of our future, so we are always committed to open the door to the offshore wind power market in Taiwan.

Pilot Project

CWind Taiwan announced that it is sponsoring up to 100 Taiwanese students and local fishermen to participate in a GWO pilot project, aiming to raise the candidate’s awareness of offshore safety and develop their general understanding of the offshore wind industry in Taiwan. They could have complete evaluation, before they truly enter related industries.

Training Days: 1 day

In 2018, CWind Taiwan formed a joint venture, Taiwan International Windpower Training Corporation Ltd. (TIWTC), with Taiwan International Ports Corp., China Steel Company, China Shipbuilding Company, Taipower Company and Swancor Renewable.

As the first GWO training provider in Taiwan, we introduce common international standards for safety training and emergency procedures, which are set by Global Wind Organization (GWO) to provide related  offshore wind power training courses, including GWO Basic Technical Training (BTT) and GWO Basic Safety Training (BST). This certificate is one of the licenses, which is required to most wind farm developers, wind turbines manufacturers and related supply chain companies all over the world. To increase the scope of our training business, now we also provide Enhanced First Aid (EFA), Advance Rescue Training (ART) and customized training. GWO Lift User and GWO BTT Installation are also included in our future plan.

TIWTC also actively carries out an innovative Mobile GWO Training. This facility will be used for mobile training centre, which can bring more flexibility and convenience to GWO training as a fast-traveling and economical solution to talent training in the industry.
