TIWTC has won Awards from GWO 2021 Safety and Training Awards Ceremony

On November 25th, WindEurope Electric City 2021 was grandly held in Copenhagen, in Denmark, and also Global Wind Organization (GWO) 2021 Safety and Training Awards Ceremony. Taiwan International Windpower Training Corporation(TIWTC) stood out from the shortlist at that day, defeated many of the world’s top GWO training centers, and won GWO awards!

Global Wind Organization (GWO) is a global organization to ensure the safety of workers at offshore wind farm sites. The training standards set by GWO are to provide technicians with courses on the safety skills and knowledge they need during the work. Therefore, reduce the potential safety hazards related to wind turbine industry. At present, world-renowned wind farm developers, wind turbine manufacturers and suppliers all require their practitioners to participate in and pass the GWO Basic Technical Training (BST) to reduce the occurrence of occupational accidents and effectively increase the safety and productivity of employees.

TIWTC is the first certified training provider in Taiwan to apply for GWO certification courses. In 2018, through the assistant of professional consultant team of National Wind Farm Training Centres, a British offshore wind training institution, completed GWO coursed, professional equipment, and trainers were imported into Taiwan. Since then, TIWTC provides the most complete GWO course training for domestic offshore wind technicians. In the future, other related maritime engineering certifications (such as diver training, underwater drone operation training, etc.) will be provided to domestic and foreign talents.

In this 2021 Safety and Training Awards Ceremony, even facing strong competitors, TIWTC was nominated as one of the world’s top five “Training team of the year-Asia/Pacific. And one of the TIWTC trainers, Thomas Yu, is not only shortlisted in the world’s top five Young Achiever of the Year, but also announced as Highly Commended at the Copenhagen Award Ceremony in Denmark. Receiving these precious awards this year is truly meaning to us!

It is a great honor that TIWTC could be recognized and supported by winning these global awards. We do believe that TIWTC will perform better next year and is committed to the localization of offshore wind technology. With an aim to provide the most complete training courses for domestic offshore wind workers and open the door for the offshore wind market in Taiwan.
